It's a pretty common mistake to think of volunteering as just something nice that people can do. Sure, it may make them feel great about helping, but what impact does it really have?
Volunteers have an enormous impact on the health and well-being of communities worldwide. Volunteers may: Deliver meals to the home-bound, teach and tutor, assist with paperwork, reach out to their community, answers phones, coordinate new activities, help out in the thrift store (Repeat Boutique) or simply visit with our seniors. The possibilities are endless!
Does making others laugh & smile make you feel good inside?
Do you enjoy a sense of accomplishment?
Do you want to give back to the community?
If any of the above is applicable to you, then volunteering with the Council on Aging of Clay County is the place to be!
There are opportunities at all 4 of our senior center sites in Clay County.
