We are excited to be presenting our third annual “Derby Day In Clay” event with proceeds to benefit the Council on Aging of Clay County.
This event will be held on Friday evening May 4th, 2018 at bestbet Kennel Club in Orange Park. This southern style Derby evening will begin with the Starting Gate cocktail hour beginning at 6:00PM. You will enjoy assorted complimentary appetizers, and, of course, mint juleps.
There will be a southern style Derby Day buffet served at 7:30PM.
The evening will be filled with “Femmes in Brims” hat contest for women and “Studs in Duds” men’s attire contest. The contests will be judged by local celebrities and there will be a cash prize of $100 for the winner in each category. You will have an opportunity to commemorate the evening with complimentary photos in a photo booth.
Betting on races will allow you to donate or pocket your winnings. Live and silent auctions will include a variety of selections from vacation get-a ways to local dining experiences all benefiting the Council on Aging of Clay County
Tickets for the event are only $75.00 each including meal & drink ticket. Sponsorships are available, as well as opportunities for recognition by donating items for the auctions.
Enclosed you will find more information about the event and the Council on Aging. Please feel free to call if you would like more information or if you have any other questions.
Please plan to join us as we “Run for the Roses”.
Adult Day Health Care
Are you taking on the selfless task of caring for a loved one? Have you been searching for somewhere for them to spend time during the day and still be able to come home each afternoon? The Council on Aging of Clay County offers two Adult Day Healthcare locations.
The Adult Day Health Care Program provides support for older adults in Clay County who are able to live at home but may require extra support and care. Adult Daycare is a wonderful outlet for caregivers who wish to give their loved ones a place to be cared for and have fun during the day. We are here to bring peace of mind to caregivers while offering a secure environment for socialization, health monitoring, nutritional guidance and activities that are supervised by a Registered Nurse.
Both the Adult Day Health Care Programs at Green Cove Springs and in Orange Park provide a safe and secure environment. Caregivers will feel at ease knowing their loved ones are being well cared in a stimulating and therapeutic atmosphere.
Each of the Adult Day Health Care Programs are open Monday through Friday,
from 8:00am – 4:00pm.
